Do You Want to Know Jesus?

Perhaps you’ve arrived at the place today where you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. I want to tell you that this is the single most important decision you will ever make in your entire life here on earth. Jesus has died for your sins, and longs to have a deep, intimate, mutually-loving relationship with you. You are the apple of His eye. And today will mark an incredible celebration both here on earth and in heaven as you welcome Jesus into your life. He is the Son of the Living God that owns all things, knows all things, and can do all things. He is a powerful, eternal, Sovereign King that sits at the right hand of the Father. And He is coming back to ransom His beloved! This is what it means to be a Christian. It is accepting Jesus Christ as Lord. We can’t have God without Jesus, and we can’t declare ourselves as Christians if we have not welcomed Jesus into our lives. God as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit has given you as His creation the free-will to choose Him and to love Him. But, make no mistake. We choose Him because He has first chosen us and we love Him because He first loved us. Jesus died for you so that you may have eternal life. He paid the price for your sins and opened up a beautiful gateway for you to have a personable relationship with God. There is no need to have anyone talk to God on your behalf. When you have Jesus, He is all that you need. Jesus longs to be your closest friend and the lover of your soul. Will you allow Him this opportunity today? Will you allow Him to cleanse you from all sin and give you a new life, a new hope, a new purpose?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11

“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” Romans 11:36

“Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” 1 Corinthians 8:6

If you are returning into the arms of Jesus after walking away for a period, this prayer can also serve its purpose in your life as you recommit your life back to the risen Son of God, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

And if you’ve never come to know Jesus for yourself, this prayer is tailored for you.

I would encourage you to go to a quite place (without distractions) where you can speak to God aloud and in private. Be honest with Him. Poor out your heart to Him. He’s there with you. He will hear you. And He will respond. As you speak to Him (whether a few words or a lot), pray this prayer below with the intent of opening your heart to Jesus and letting Him be the powerful God He is in your own life. Once you accept Jesus, He will wash your heart from all sin and your spirit will be re-birthed (even if your physical body is matured). This is how you become a child of God. The Holy Spirit will then dwell within you as a comforter and a counselor.

“Lord Jesus, I come to you today declaring that I believe you are the risen Son of God, that you died for my sins on Calvary, and that you are the Eternal King. I acknowledge that I am a sinner who is in need of a Savior. Please forgive me of all my sin and wash it by the blood you shed for me on Calvary. As Your Word states in Romans 10:9: “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Today I ask that You, Jesus may be My Lord. I welcome You into my heart and give You permission to direct me, guide me, and love me. Thank You Jesus for grace. The unending free gift that I now receive because you died for me. Thank You for eternal salvation. And thank you that You love me enough to die for me. May Your will be done in My life, Lord. Amen.”

If you have prayed this today, I want to encourage you that you have been reborn into the family of God by accepting Jesus Christ. What a day to celebrate! To shout for joy, to praise His name, to be hopeful for all the new and exciting things He has in store for you as His child! And I would love for you to reach out to us directly through the “Contact Us” page above. We’d like to know who you are and to send you a free gift. It’s important that you have certain tools and resources to equip and empower you to grow!
